Local Leadership

Justin and his wife, Allison, chose to raise their family in Jersey Village and immediately became active in the community. In 2012, Justin won an open seat on the Jersey Village City Council without a runoff by touting the themes of public safety, fiscal responsibility, and economic development.

In 2015, Justin was elected as the youngest Mayor in City history. Under his leadership, the City embarked on ambitious plans while remaining fiscally responsible and building a surplus of funds at the City level. As Mayor, Justin has worked tirelessly to ensure the residents of Jersey Village continue to enjoy a high level of service, public safety, and responsible fiscal management.

As Mayor, Justin guided the community through major rain events including disastrous home flooding during the 2016 Tax Day Flood. Immediately, Justin led a City initiative to develop a long-term flood mitigation strategy which included engineered public works projects and street drainage improvements. During his tenure, he worked with state and local officials to shepherd the community through a difficult Highway 290 expansion. Embracing opportunities as well as challenges, Justin energetically pursued economic growth for Northwest Harris County.

Deep Community Ties

Growing up in Jersey Village, he graduated from Jersey Village High School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston. He was an active campus contributor, rising to leadership positions in Student Government, Fraternity President, and advocated for the University at the State Capitol. After college, Justin received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law and entered the oil & gas industry, receiving the Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 award in 2013.
